This EBook provides basic information on the organization of Oregon State University, how its personnel system functions, and the rights, privileges, and benefits extended to you as a classified OSU employee.

A brief explanation of each subject is provided, with links to other information sources. You may have additional questions after reading this material. We encourage you to consult with your supervisor, the Office of Human Resources, or the specific department listed to obtain additional information.

About OSU

A variety of resources and information about Oregon State University can be accessed through the OSU web site, and in particular under the Faculty and Staff tab.

Oregon University System

Oregon State University is one of seven institutions in the Oregon University System (OUS). OUS is directed by an eleven-member board appointed by the Governor. The Governor appoints a Chancellor to serve as the chief executive officer of OUS. The Chancellor's Office, located in Eugene, Oregon, oversees the administration of the State universities.

Office of Human Resources

The Office of Human Resources can assist you with information about your employment and working conditions.
