Criminal history checks may be fingerprint-based or non-fingerprint-based as determined by the Office of Human Resources after review of the request. Determination is made based on the residency history of the applicant, the critical or security-sensitive access type(s) of the position, the need to verify the identity of the applicant, and other factors. If a fingerprint-based check is required, the Office of Human Resources will instruct the applicant via email. Fingerprint services are offered free of charge on campus through the Department of Public Safety. Other law enforcement agencies or fingerprinting service agencies will provide this service for a fee as determined by the agency.
