Being Remarkable

APRIL 20 (Thurs) 8:00-10:00 AM, CH2M-HILL ALUMNI CENTER

DESCRIPTION:

  • What does it take to be remarkable?
  • What is the best way for you to make a difference?
  • How do you take care of yourself and your family?
  • How can we act in concert as a group?
  • What does interacting with one another in a special way look like?

This workshop will strive to answer such questions for you, and show you where to put your attention as you look to improve your personal effectiveness and the effectiveness of your group.

Making Meetings Matter

APRIL 20 (Thurs) 10:30 AM-12:30 PM, CH2M-HILL ALUMNI CENTER

DESCRIPTION: We all do individual work. Still, much depends on our ability to work together in groups. This session begins by exploring the perspectives that hold the most potential for turning around all of our complaints about meetings. We’ll then work through the ideas that, as a leader or participant, will provide the most leverage in improving our meetings. I

In preparation, please keep this phrase in front of you until we meet: Everyone is a little bit scared and a whole lot proud. Be gentle. Notice who is not yet in the conversation.

Enhancing Relationships

APRIL 20 (Thurs) 1:30-3:30 PM, CH2M-HILL ALUMNI CENTER

DESCRIPTION: We will explore the link between conversation and relationship. Participants will identify specific things to pay attention to and be aware of each day.

In preparation, please consider these questions:

  • Who would like more time with you?
  • Are you creating relationships or dominating in conversations?
  • When was the last time you checked in with someone?
  • What do you appreciate about each of the people with whom you work closely?
