    Civil Rights, Processes and Legal Issues

    This training event is designed to inform OSU supervisors and managers of legal issues and responsibilities when supervising professional faculty. At the end of the program, supervisors and managers will be better prepared to handle the challenges of the modern workforce on topics such as:

    • Civil rights
    • Discipline, reassignment, and separation from employment
    • Legal processes (public record requests, FERPA, subpoenas, claims, summons/complaints, attorney/client privilege, and preservation notices)
    • Accountability and integrity, OSU core values (code of ethics; fraud waste, abuse prevention and hotline, and audit & compliance resources and tools)
    • Risk management
    • Ombuds

    Presented by OSU Legal Counsel, Business Services, Office of Human Resources, Office of Equity and Inclusion and the Ombuds Office.
