Designated staff within the Office of Human Resources review all criminal history check results. The results are kept confidential. The business center HR team and the supervisor listed on the criminal history check release will be notified via email if the results are satisfctory. If an adverse determination is made, they will be notified that the applicant does not meet the minimum qualifications of the position. Before an adverse fitness determination is made, the applicant will be provided notice by the university either by electronic or certified mail to the address provided by the applicant with an opportunity to provide additional information for the university to consider. The notice will also include a copy of the applicant’s criminal history report and a summary of his/her rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act if applicable.
