Cathy Hasenpflug has joined Oregon State University as the new Chief Human Resources Officer, effective June 11, 2018.

Hasenpflug comes to OSU from Montana State University, a public research land-grant university. She has more than 30 years of human resources experience in higher education and the private sector, primarily in the technology field.

Her background includes all aspects of human resources with a focus on customer service, organizational strategy and long-term talent management and development programs.

Hasenpflug transitioned to a career within public higher education five years ago after a dozen years of leading human resources teams within the technology sector in the California Bay Area. Cathy subsequently spent six years leading human resources at a global asset management company, where she gained deep experience with long-term talent management and development programs.

She holds a bachelor’s of science degree in organizational behavior from the University of San Francisco.
