University Ombuds Office

  • The University Ombuds Office provides informal, independent, impartial, and confidential* conflict management services to all members of the campus community. The Ombuds assist with individual concerns through service and education, and serve as change agents to address group conflict and systemic concerns. It is the goal of the Ombuds to foster a culture of healthy, safe and open dialogue, and facilitate cooperative problem resolution.

Office of Insurance & Risk Management Services

  • The Office of Insurance & Risk Management Services provides services related to risk mitigation, avoidance and transfer through online risk assessment tools, consulting, waivers, and insurance – as well as accident tracking.  We also manage insurance claims processing for the University on over 35 different lines of insurance – including workers’ compensation, property, auto, and cyber insurance.

Family Resource Center

  • The Family Resource Center advocates for and provides quality programming and services to all OSU families with dependent care needs to support the academic, professional and personal growth and success of the whole person. Learn about the resources, from various childcare opportunities to campus lactation rooms to elder care, by visiting the Family Resource Center website or emailing familyresources@oregonstate.edu.

Department of Public Safety

  • OSU Public Safety Officers respond to fire and medical emergencies on campus, as well as calls for service for office lockouts, bike lock cuts, and non-emergency transport to Student Health Services. Officers help ensure a safe campus by providing patrol and security checks of buildings and OSU property, as well as responding to all animal issues. Officers contact people in buildings after-hours, as well as suspicious individuals present on campus.

Recreational Sports

  • Invest in your health and wellbeing and find community with a Recreational Sports Membership! The Department of Recreational Sports provides an extensive and diverse list of sport, fitness, and adventure opportunities to serve the varied recreation preferences and activity interests of the campus community.
  • OSU Corvallis-based Recreational Sports facilities and activities have resumed with public health modifications that include face covering requirements and remote programming.

Faculty Staff Fitness

  • OSU’s Faculty Staff Fitness program serves the OSU community of faculty, staff, retirees, GTAs/GRAs, alumni, and their spouses/partners.
  • We offer a wide variety of programs onsite at the Corvallis campus before/after work and mid-day. Many of the same offerings online in a pre-recorded format that can be accessed anytime from anywhere with a connection to the internet.
  • Classes that are offered include Cardiovascular/Aerobics, Aquatics, Mind/Body, Strength Training, Specialty (therapeutic modalities and more), and Seasonal (Golf, Adult Learn to Swim, etc.).
  • Faculty Staff Fitness instructors are educated to tailor to your needs and give you the very best in programming for all levels of fitness at a reasonable cost to you.

Mind Spa

  • The Mind Spa is a unique sanctuary for everyone in the OSU community where you can soothe your mind, body, and spirit. Explore an experience like no other on campus. Relax privately in this quiet single-user space, unkink that stubborn muscle in the full body massage chair, center yourself in the meditation corner, use guided relaxation software to find calmness, or sit by the therapy light on a rainy day. The Mind Spa is open to all OSU students, faculty, and staff at no charge.

Craft Center

  • The OSU Craft Center is your Campus Creative Resource. A well-equipped, membership-based community arts center with studios and classes in: Ceramics, Fiber Arts, Glasswork, Jewelry/Metals, Paper Arts/Printmaking, Photography, and Woodworking.
  • The Craft Center supports and promotes a creative outlet of expression and an enriched experiential learning experience where students and other members of the University community can foster their own creativity. Art making is a medium for stress management, health and wellness. Join the Craft Center creative community!
