Workshop Options
Attend an OSU Search Advocate Workshop
Search Advocate Foundations series - We invite you to be our guest at a Search Advocate workshop series. Non-OSU participants add perspectives and experiences that enrich the workshop for everyone, so OSU reserves a limited number of spaces for attendees from other colleges and universities. Each institution may register a up to two participants for a particular workshop series (as long as non-OSU spaces are available). When all non-OSU spaces have been filled, a wait list may be established. Costs to participate are described below:
- Oregon public higher education institutions - guests from Oregon public higher education institutions currently participate at no charge.
- Other institutions, agencies, and organizations - guests from other institutions/agencies/organizations participate at no charge up to the institution's/organization's lifetime limit of two (2) free guests. Once the lifetime limit is reached, the cost is $200 per person.
Costs and limits are subject to change each fiscal/academic year.

Search Advocate Update and Topics workshops
Non-OSU guests who have completed the Foundations series may register to attend any of the Update or Topics continuing education workshops at no cost if space if available. Please see the Search Advocate Workshops page for currently available workshops.

Bring the Search Advocate Program to your campus
We are frequently asked to facilitate the OSU Search Advocate workshop series remotely (via Zoom) for other colleges or universities on a contract basis. If this is of interest to you, you should know that we typically have a waiting list of approximately 20 institutions so it may be a year or more before we are able to schedule a time that will work for us both. Once we identify dates, our contract office will work with your contract officer to develop a flat-rate contract including the standard per-series fee (currently $3000 for the 16-hour 4-part Zoom series for up to 40 participants).
Use of Our Materials
Because our availability is so limited, we encourage you to consider developing your own program that is tailored to your institution. Our workshop materials are available for noncommercial use under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) license to institutions with employees who have attended the OSU workshop series.
