Getting Started

Identification Cards

You may get a staff identification card from the ID Center. An ID card identifies you as eligible for a variety of campus services.

Keys

Your supervisor may determine that an office or building key is necessary for your work. A key card form must be completed and approved by your department head or director in order to receive a key from the Key Shop.

Should you transfer to another department or leave OSU employment, you must return your key to the Key Shop. Be sure to keep your keys in a safe place. Immediately report lost or stolen keys to your supervisor and the Key Shop. Policy and Procedure information is available online.

Parking

From 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, all motor vehicles parked on campus must display a parking permit, except those parked in the open parking lot and the pay lot. Parking permits can be purchased at the Transportation Services office (541-737-2583) located at Western Building. Transportation Services will also provide you with a detailed guide that explains the ins and outs of parking and traffic on campus when you pick up your parking permit.

OSU Shuttle Bus Service is available to assist you in getting around campus without a concern about parking lot locations and permits requirements.

Disability Permits

Visit the Oregon Driver & Motor Vehicle Services website for more information about parking permits. Please note, an OSU parking permit is required in addition to your state-issued parking permit to park in campus permit lots.

Bus Passes

You don't need a car to get to campus! The number of parking places available on campus is limited, and for this reason OSU encourages employees to use the Corvallis Transit System or to car pool. Your OSU ID card entitles you to ride any Corvallis Transit System bus free of charge. Route information may be obtained online from the Corvallis Transit System.

Special Assistance for Motorists

As a courtesy service on campus, Transportation Services (541-737-2583) may be contacted for help with dead batteries.
