Registration process:
The Crucial Conversations program consists of five online modules that are each 2 hours in length. You will want to make sure that you can attend all 5 sessions; to receive the Crucial Conversations certificate, all modules must be completed.
There is a $100 fee to attend Crucial Conversations. Your pre-registration confirmation will include a form requiring your Budget Authority’s signature to approve the $100 fee. To complete your registration, the Budget Authority form must be submitted to [email protected] at least 5 working days before the first session. You will receive a confirmation of full registration once the Budget Authority form is received.
Please review the Cancellation Policy regarding no-shows and late cancellations.
There is a minimum enrollment of 12 participants needed to conduct a Crucial Conversations training course, with a maximum of 24.
Special Note: The Learning & Organizational Development team can arrange to offer a remote Crucial Conversations workshop for individual work groups (minimum of 12) in a time-frame that works for your team.
Why is there a fee?
The $100 fee per participant covers the proprietary VitalSmarts materials required for the course; University Human Resources is supplementing the remaining program costs. Participant materials include digital copies of:
- Crucial Conversations Participant Toolkit
- The New York Times bestselling book, Crucial Conversations: Tools for Talking When Stakes are High (4th Edition)
- A course completion certificate
