Distinguishing Characteristics
The distinguishing characteristic of the Coordinator-Internship is the coordination of internships for a college, school or department. Positions manage the overall program including development, implementation, assessment and outreach. These positions provide subject matter expertise specific to the academic program content.
Primary Position Responsibilities
1. Coordinates, conducts and oversees an internship program in support of an academic degree for a school or college. 2. Seeks and established internship opportunities with external stakeholders including industry partners, public and non-profit agencies. 3. Advises and counsels students in their educational, career development plans and leadership skills 4. Coordinates and facilitates trainings and workshops pertaining to internship involvement, participation, and development. 5. Tracks, evaluates and provides assessment related to internship experiences of students and internship providers and provides reports and summaries. 6. Acts as the liaison between students and their off-campus supervisors.

Typical Requirements
