New OSU Supervisor Series

About the Program

The New OSU Supervisor Series is an orientation program for employees starting in new manager, supervisor, or lead worker roles.

Designed to be completed within the first month of their new role, this orientation series equips participants with foundational knowledge about supervisory responsibilities at OSU.

Role Learners are Preparing for

At the end of this series, learners will be able to:

  • Identify and describe practices for culturally responsive supervision and workplace inclusivity
  • describe supervisory responsibilities in accordance with employment laws and labor agreements
  • perform supervisory timekeeping responsibilities

Registration

New OSU Supervisor Series includes two courses for new supervisors, managers and lead workers. Supervisor 101 is offered twice a month, with in-person and remote options. Supervisor 102 is offered on a monthly basis as a remote option.

Participants are strongly encouraged to complete both courses within the first month of their new supervisory role.
Fundamental Refresher courses, for experienced supervisors, will be available at a later date.
