Positions in this job profile develop, plan, organize, coordinate, evaluate and participate in outreach and/or retention of an international academic program or project; plan and monitor performance against program goals and objectives and ensure program results; interact with internal and external program or project stakeholders to build program support.
Distinguishing Characteristics
The distinguishing characteristics of the Coordinator-Intl Program are the management of an international, academic program including curriculum development, implementation, assessment and outreach. The primary focuses of these positions are the subject matter expertise they provide in regards to an international region or focus area.
Primary Position Responsibilities
1. Provides student support and advising throughout the student cycle including admission, site selection, scholarship, resume and interviewing skills; assessment and continued student success support. 2. Facilitates general orientation to ensure student preparedness for internship and international programs 3. Leads overall student program evaluation, analysis and other student reporting requirements 4. Participates and represents the unit in events and programs to promote the international program 5. Administers and oversees the process of publicity, recruitment, application, screening and orientation for students seeking to participate in an international exchange program. 6. Negotiates contracts with U.S. partner institutions, host international institutions, and employees in designated country. 7. Directs overseas staff and relationships with host institutions abroad

Has responsibility for making decisions on hiring, performance management, and termination. May monitor, inform, report within budget.

Typical Requirements
Bachelor’s degree and professional experience in field related to assigned responsibilities.
