Positions in this job profile design, implement and provide guidance for curriculum assessment and accreditation. They provide analyses to make sound decisions and ensure compliance with state regulations regarding proposals based on adherence to curricular policies.
Distinguishing Characteristics
The Specialist 2-Accred & Assess is distinguished from the Coordinator-Curr Accr & Assess profile by the specialized requirement of Master’s degree or greater to provide the expertise necessary to lead and advise on the accreditation and assessment data collection and reporting requirements of the college, division or university.
Primary Position Responsibilities
1. Leads planning, development, implementation, and oversight for curricular and programmatic assessment activities for the college, division or university. 2. Creates processes to monitor performance and achievement of curricular outcomes for individual students. 3. Provides consultation and advice to faculty members and administrators in support curriculum proposals, accreditation and/or assessment. 4. Designs, collects, compiles, and analyzes data required to support accreditation assessment expectations, surveys and reporting requirements for internal and external stakeholders including making recommendations regarding process; designing and conducting data queries; and analyzing data in alignment with assessment goals and plans. 5. Advocates and cultivates faculty development in teaching, assessment and pedagogic diversity. 6. Collaborates with program leadership, university committees, counsels and Faculty Senate and external organizations as a subject matter expert in regards to curriculum proposals, accreditation and assessment.

Typical Requirements
Master’s degree in field related to assigned responsibilities. 3 years of experience in accreditation and assessment for higher education.
