Distinguishing Characteristics
The distinguishing characteristic of the Coordinator-Bus Service is the coordination and management of a business operation or financial function within a department or subset of a division or college. Positions prepare and oversee processes and procedures. They provide advice, counsel, outreach and training regarding administrative and finance operations.
Primary Position Responsibilities
1. Plans, develops, coordinates, administers, executes and assesses administrative and financial processes and policies for the operations of a business service. 2. Prepares and oversees document and report preparation to ensure accuracy, compliance and timeliness for processing 3. Manages, and maintains collaborations and partnerships with various OSU departments, and programs as well as resources outside of OSU such as professional organizations to help build and leverage expertise and resources 4. Provides resources and expertise regarding administrative and fiscal operation to internal and external stakeholders including but not limited to serving on campus committees, delivering training, and serving as an advisor. 5. Researches, compiles, prepares, and composes analysis, data and documents in support of the overall business operations of a department or subset of a division or college. 6. May supervise administrative support functions that support the operations of the business service.

Collaborates and interacts within the Dept/Unit to: • Persuade, gain cooperation and acceptance of ideas or collaborate on significant projects. • Resolve conflict, negotiate or collaborate on major projects. • Access and/or work with sensitive and/or confidential information. • Identify needs/concerns of others, determine potential solutions, resolve or redirect appropriately.
Typical Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or related area. 3 years of experience providing administrative/financial support to a program or office.
