Profile Summary
Positions in this job profile are responsible for design, development and implementation of marketing communications and outreach services for a limited subset of OSU Athletics.
Distinguishing Characteristics
The distinguishing characteristic of the Specialist 2-Ath Mktg&Outrch is the specialized education and training required to develop and implement marketing strategies and outreach efforts in OSU Athletics.
Primary Position Responsibilities
1. Utilizes specialized education and experience in Athletics or NCAA regulations to develop, implement and assess marketing programs, and outreach strategies. 2. Ensures compliance with University policy, state, federal, NCAA and PAC12 regulations for Athletics marketing and outreach events and strategies. 3. Builds relationships with internal and external to promote and ensure collaboration and partnership opportunities for marketing and communication efforts specific to Athletics sports events, including games, fan involvement activities, and alumni events. 4. Researches, analyzes, and makes recommendations to leadership regarding format and stakeholder trends to inform decisions, services and strategies for marketing and communication efforts and planning. 5. Provides analysis, data and reporting to assess current programs and services and inform decisions on future strategies, applications and media.

Typical Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sports Management, or related field. 2 years of experience in a professional or intercollegiate athletic ticketing, marketing, events or outreach office with progressively responsible experience in events and working closely with coaches, studentathletes, and team operations.
