Profile Summary
Positions in this job profile serve as the senior administrator for the OSU-Cascades Campus. This position is a member of the Provost's Council and works closely and cooperatively with the OSU deans, other vice presidents/provosts, academic program leaders, faculty, and key external partners. They build and maintain close relationships with key constituents throughout the region, endeavoring to anticipate and meet the region's higher education needs. They will provide administrative leadership to all aspects of the campus, including teaching and learning, research, scholarship, outreach, and public service programs.
Distinguishing Characteristics
The distinguishing characteristic of the Executive 2-Aux Campus profile is the strategic leadership and administration of an auxiliary campus of Oregon State University. Positions provide overall administrative leadership of the campus, including teaching and learning, research, scholarship, outreach, and public service programs.
Primary Position Responsibilities
1. Develops and implements the vision for the auxiliary campus in context of OSU's Strategic Plan. 2. Creates and sustains an environment of academic and programmatic excellence that aligns with the mission, vision values and strategic plan of the university, including enrollment, academic programming, student services, advancing an international agenda, diversity, and inclusion efforts. 3. Develops, promotes, and maintains relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote, develop, and enhance the mission of the university, including engaging in private, foundation, and corporate fund development and cooperative linkages with OSU academic departments and colleges, and other appropriate divisions; and alumni relations and engagement. 4. Manages human, financial, and other infrastructure resources to optimize their effectiveness, including development and implementation of a business plan for strategic opportunities and growth. 5. Provides leadership, supervision and direction for assigned staff. Hire and train employees; plan, assign and review work, establish goals for each position and assess performance through completion of written evaluations; act on disciplinary issues, up to and including dismissal; address grievances, developing a framework for corrective actions as necessary.

Problems are highly varied, complex and often non-recurring; require novel and creative approaches to resolution. New concepts and approaches may have to be developed. Decisions have significant, broad implications for the management and operations of a division/entire organization; makes decisions on the overall strategy and direction of the entire organization. Accountability
Results are defined by university strategy, mission and vision; incumbent sets own goals and determines how to accomplish results with few or no guidelines to follow, although precedents may exist; supervisor/manager provides broad guidance and overall direction. Reports to the Provost/Executive Vice President of the University. Supervises work other directors, including planning and reviewing work. Develops and approves multiple budgets and exceptions to budgets for multiple units.

Typical Requirements
Earned doctorate (or equivalent record of research, creativity and application). 10 years of experience providing administrative leadership: including budget and financial management processes, public relations and fundraising, strategic planning, policy formation, personnel management, and supervision.
