Positions may have responsibility for and exercise judgment in the supervision of staff including hiring, evaluation, and discipline up to and including dismissal.
Distinguishing Characteristics
The distinguishing characteristic of the Coordinator-IT Project is the management and development of IT projects. Positions have administrative and technical responsibilities that require expertise in web based IT architecture.
Primary Position Responsibilities
1. Plans, develops, coordinates, administers and executes web based IT programs and projects, including proposals, plans, timetables, communication, and resource allocation. 2. May manage within the project budget, including tracking, monitoring and reporting expenditures 3. Resolves issues involving technical and resource constraints including adjusting production schedules and identifying alternative technical solutions. 4. Manages and negotiates project change orders and modifications. 5. Oversees the assessment and documentation of functional and technical requirements including facilitation with third party vendor and web and application programmers to test coded applications and coordinate the implementation of web projects. 6. Establishes and maintains collaborations and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders including various OSU departments, external partners, vendors and professional organizations to help build and leverage expertise and resources.

Typical Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. Experience leading IT projects in a complex organization.
