Profile Summary
Position in this job profile are responsible for overall institutional compliance. They will develop and implement the University’s centralized compliance office to coordinate and support OSU’s existing, decentralized individual compliance units to support a robust institutional compliance network.
Distinguishing Characteristics
The distinguishing characteristic of the Officer-Inst Compliance profile are the responsibilities to manage and enforce overall institutional. This position provides compliance oversight for units across the university as a central function of the university.
Primary Position Responsibilities
1. Develops and implements institutional compliance programs, to coordinates and provide resources, support, advice and training for compliance partners across campus. 2. Identifies and communicates potential risks and vulnerabilities to University decision makers; develops and implements processes to coordinate and communicate regarding the University's compliance with federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations, as well as institutional policies. 3. Coordinates educational and training programs to ensure that members of the University community understand the compliance responsibilities relevant to their work. 4. Builds collaborative relationships and establishes regular communication process with compliance partners across the University. 5. Acts as a subject matter expert regarding University policies, and state and federal laws and guidelines, including facilitating updates, improvements and development of compliance policies, procedures, guidelines.
