Profile Summary
Positions in this job profile are responsible for providing strategic leadership for University Enrollment Management with broad impact across the University. Responsibilities include developing, implementing, and evaluating philosophy, short and long-range goals and objectives. Employees provide the overall guidance and direction to support the development, implementation and enforcement of plans, policies, procedures, systems, programs and performance standards. They establish and direct the execution of strategic plans.
Distinguishing Characteristics
The distinguishing characteristic of the Executive 3-Enrollment Mgmnt profile is the strategic leadership of enrollment services for the university. This position provides resource allocation and management with a scope spanning over multiple centers and programs including Financial Aid, the Registrar’s Office, Enrollment, and Pre-College Programs, serving students across the university.
Primary Position Responsibilities
1. Leads, develops, implements, oversees and assesses strategy and plan of operation for Admissions, Financial Aid, Scholarships, Information Technology for all Enrollment Management areas, Pre-College Programs, the Registrar’s Office within Enrollment Services. 2. Supervision including plan, assign and approve work; rewards/discipline; respond to grievances; hire/fire (or effectively recommend); prepare and sign performance evaluations/reviews of employees that carry out the operational direction and management of enrollment services units. 3. Develop and execute enrollment management vision, goals and initiative, including leadership of university councils and committees. 4. Maintain and review goals for the size and composition of the university’s student body in consultation with the President’s Cabinet and Academic Deans. 5. Maintains relationships to promote and develop the program mission and strategies including development of support services for program participants to provide information that assist them with short and long term decision making. 6. Oversees collaborative, external relationships that develop and enhance university efforts in enrollment management.

Problems are highly varied, complex and often non-recurring; require novel and creative approaches to resolution. New concepts and approaches may have to be developed. Decisions have significant, broad implications for the management and operations of a division/entire organization; contributes to decisions on the overall strategy and direction of the entire organization. Accountability
Results are defined by university and division strategy, mission and vision; incumbent sets own goals and determines how to accomplish results with few or no guidelines to follow, although precedents may exist; supervisor/manager provides broad guidance and overall direction. Supervises work other directors, including planning and reviewing work. Develops and approves multiple budgets and exceptions to budgets for multiple units.

Typical Requirements
Master’s degree in Student Services Administration or related field with 8-10 years of experience in management responsibilities in student service functions.
