OSU Work Life and Wellness Ambassadors are a committed group of volunteers who understand the importance and value of connecting employees to work life and wellness programs and resources on campus in order to support the whole employee. These volunteers help create a culture of whole-person wellness by promoting participation, awareness and engagement in work life and wellness programs, services and events.
As an ambassador, you will work as a liaison between Work Life at OSU and your department.
Work Life Ambassadors are:
- Enthusiastic about the role
- Able to make decisions about the best way to communicate and deliver information to colleagues
- Willing to generate and share ideas
Roles and responsibilities
- Share one to two announcements from Work Life at OSU per month
- Attend a 1 hour networking and training session per year
- Serve as a liaison with Work Life at OSU to share questions from colleagues or ideas for programs as well as identify potential ideas or strategies for enhancing well-being and a healthy work environment/culture
- Promote work life and wellness programs using provided information and flyers from Work Life at OSU at department/team meetings or other forums to provide education and promote usage
- Develop your own initiatives and programs within your unit to support wellness (e.g., organize a noontime walk, use bulletin boards, develop a healthy snack sharing program, etc.)
- Share your success stories with us
